Trustees

There are 10 people who presently make up the Trustee board. We generally meet quarterly to review our financial situation, make decisions about the charity's investments, consider issues raised by our residents and agree actions to ensure the properties are well-maintained. There are email conversations between meetings so that the trustees are always ready, willing and able to make decisions quickly as well as ad hoc meetings, often at the almshouses to deal with a particular issue.  None of the trustees receive any financial remuneration for being a trustee. 

We do have a Clerk who we pay to deal with all of the administration to do with the running of the charity - keeping minutes of all meetings, maintaining financial records and the prompt payment of bills, dealing with residents and contractors.
